King Hall Legal Foundation's General Public Interest Grants

Available KHLF Grants

KHLF awards all proceeds raised throughout the academic year as grants to first and second year law students who will perform summer legal work in the public interest sector. Full grants are in the amount of $4,000.00 and are awarded for 400 hours of public interest work at qualifying organizations. Applicants may also request partial grants. In addition to its general public interest grants, KHLF also awards one Washington, D.C. Grant and one Public Health Law Grant. The Washington, D.C. Grant is funded by the U.C. Davis Washington Center. The Public Health Law Grant is funded through a private grant to KHLF from the California Endowment.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a grant, you must:

1. Be a member of KHLF;
2. Be a first or second year student at King Hall;
3. Not have previously received a KHLF grant ;
4. Attend all mandatory meetings; and
5. Volunteer 20 hours of time to the Annual Spring Auction, including 14 hours of active, documented solicitation, and 6 hours of work at the auction.
