Candidates must be able to demonstrate and document an orientation toward public service. The candidate must produce a minimum of three references supporting his/her past experience in public service work. Women and ethnic minority students are especially encouraged to apply. The candidate must also maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, be certified by the institution of maintaining good ethical standing, have financial need, and are required to attend (at their own expense) a reception in their honor on a date and at a location to be announced. Failure to attend or to provide a valid reason for absence could result in forfeiture of the scholarship. The Foundation will award scholarships each year in amounts ranging from $2,500 to $7,500.
Applications are available in March. Each School of Law may only nominate up to five candidates. Application deadline is July.
