Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship

Up to $5,000

Applicant Requirements

• Must be a student from a minority group that is underrepresented in Bay Area law schools
• Must submit a completed application packet by the deadline
• Must have received a “letter of admission” from one of the eight (8) Northern California law schools listed below.

Application Packet Requirements (Refer to the actual application for complete details) – Your packet must include:
• A completed application – every section of the application must be completed, if applicable
• Your official undergraduate and/or graduate transcript(s)
• A 500-word personal statement
• Copies of your 2007 IRS tax forms and/or your parent(s)’ if applicable
• Optional statement of economic need
• Copies of “letters of admissions” from any ABA accredited law school in Northern California such as:
- University of California – Berkeley School of Law
- University of California – Hastings School of Law
- University of California – Davis School of Law
- University of San Francisco School of Law
- Golden Gate University School of Law
- University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law
- Santa Clara University School of Law
- Stanford Law School

Application Packet Submission Requirements:
Complete application packets (as described above) must be received by May 30, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. to be considered. Postmarked envelopes with this date are acceptable.
